Route Itinerary

Day 1-Kathmandu to Pokhara

On this day we will head from Kathmandu to Pokhara by taking a scenic drive through beautiful hills, rivers, terraced fields and traditional villages. On arrival, you can take a little time to explore the lakeside and to experience the lively ambiance of Pokhara. And we will stay in Pokhara overnight.

Day 2- Pokhara to Jomsom

After having breakfast in Pokhara, we will drive to the breathtaking Kali Gandaki Valley towards Jomsom. Along the way, we will visit the picturesque village of Marpha, famous apple orchards, traditional stone houses, and charming local streets. And on this day we will stay in Jomsom exploring Jomsom tradition and cultural parts.

Day 3: Jomsom – Kagbeni – Muktinath – Jomsom

On day three,  we will explore an ancient village called Kagbeni along the banks of the Kali Gandaki river. After that we will explore holy Muktinath temple, which is one of the most famous religious sites for both Hindus and Buddhists. And back to Jomsom and we stayed overnight there.

Day 4: Jomsom – Tatopani – Pokhara

Travel through beautiful mountain scenery and through the traditional villages to reach the town of Tatopani, where you will find the natural hot springs for which it is famous. Take some time to unwind before heading off to Pokhara. When you arrive, you will have time to relax at Lakeside, and then take in the surrounding sights. We will stay in Pokhara for an overnight stay.

Day 5: Pokhara to Kathmandu

On the day 5th we drive back to Kathmandu, pass through the beautiful countryside of Nepal, with views of the rivers, hills and rural settlements. The tour in Kathmandu ends with the memorable experience of Lower Mustang's unique landscape, culture and nature.

Best time to go to Mustang

Spring (March – May)

Mustang is one of the best places to visit in the Spring. The weather is good, the temperature is nice and the mountain views are very clear. In some parts, you can also see the beauty of  blooming rhododendrons.

Autumn (September – November)

Autumn is the best time to visit Mustang. In this season skies are clear, the weather is nice and the mountains are visible. Many people wait for this season to explore the mustang.

Winter (December – February)

During the winter season,many people avoid travelling Mustang because it gets cold, particularly in Upper Mustang. Travel remains possible but some lodges may be closed, and occasionally snow falls will impact road conditions.

Yes, you need permits for a mustang tour. We include all permits in our packages so you don't have to worry about it.

The roads are well paved in most of the parts but in some sections it is bumpy and rough but our 4WD vehicles ensure a safe and comfortable journey to Mustang.

Muktinath temple is the highest point of this tour with a maximum elevation of 3,710 meters (12,171 feet) above sea level. 

The above mentioned package is for lower mustang tour. But we can customise packages with upper Mustang also.
